I saw this old chap setting up in a derelict shop window having a quick smoke before he started. I got two shots, this is the second, i chose this one as i liked the eye contact as he hear the first shutter go.
Having walked through here many i time it had struck me how this represented a refuge of despair, there are often homeless people here taking shelter, but as i saw this guy walking i was struck with the idea of hope. From every despair there is hope, which has been reflected in the subtle post processing.
I would like to say there was something more than just colour here that attracted me, but there wasn’t
